Description

The OB world is changing quickly.  We have watched micro preemies survive and maternal deaths increase.  A few years ago, we freely gave our patients opioids for pain management, acetaminophen was given in a tablet, and CCHD screening was just starting.  Now we are talking about robots, remote monitoring and artificial intelligence. Each nurse goes to work every day wanting to give the best care to patients and their families.  It is often difficult to keep up with the latest from AWHONN and ACOG.  It may be more difficult to keep up with WHY these changes occur and HOW they benefit our patients.  This seminar takes a closer look at some current issues and digs deeper into finding out why we have made these changes to understand how current best practices benefit our postpartum patients.
