Description

IASTM Practitioner Certification

Full Course Description

Explore the concepts of movement and performance enhancement via the evidence-based use of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) techniques. IASTM tools do not require an aggressive, heavy handed approach to result in improved patient outcomes.  The IASTM Practitioner Certification will review screening procedures to identify dysfunctional movement patterns and utilizes soft tissue tools to improve patient conditions such as pain, muscle dysfunction, neurological complaints and pathological scars.  The anatomy, physiology and neurologic qualities of myofascial connective tissue is introduced, discussed and presented via an evidence-based approach. IASTM intervention strategies will be combined with kinesiology taping and corrective exercise techniques to deliver a comprehensive approach to patient care.

This course is intended for practitioners and therapists with all levels of experience with soft tissue mobilization techniques.
