How do we avoid negative acute and long-term consequences of untreated pain and agitation? In this session, Dr. Dunwoody will help you understand how provide safe care to when patients are provided analgesia and sedation to prevent pain and anxiety, permit invasive procedures, reduce stress and oxygen consumption, and improve synchrony with mechanical ventilation.
