Michael Lau, PT, DPT, CSCS, is one of the co-founders of The Prehab Guys, a healthcare educational platform that teaches people how to take control of their own health through online physical therapy. With a strong background in strength and conditioning, Michael likes to blend the realms of strength training and rehabilitation to provide prehab, or preventative rehabilitation, to his patients. He has a vast professional background with extensive experience and specialized training in the fields of blood flow restriction training, movement science, pain science, biomechanics, injury and surgery rehabilitation, and athletic performance.

Ralph Dehner, COTA, CPT

Ralph Dehner, COTA, CPT, is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). His clinical experience includes rehabilitation and injury prevention through behavior modification, exercise, work simplification, and functional activity. Mr. Dehner started studying internal martial arts in the early 1970s and is a Certified Master/Trainer for Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Health programs in the USA. In addition, he is certified as an instructor for such courses as Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, Tai Chi for Diabetes, Tai Chi for Osteoporosis, Tai Chi for Back Pain, and Tai Chi for Rehabilitation. Mr. Dehner has taught both Qi Gong and Tai Chi in hospitals, cancer centers, nursing homes, senior centers, integrative medicine centers, and mental health facilities. In conjunction with his vast experience, he has presented several conferences, such as the National Autism Conference, National Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Conference, and the Inaugural International Tai Chi for Health Conference (Seoul, So. Korea). Mr. Dehner is also an experienced program developer who has produced and presented training courses on such topics as fall prevention, Tai Chi for OTs, and integrative medicine in mental health. He received his BS in Holistic Studies with a concentration in Wellness Management from Union Institute and University. Mr. Dehner is a member of the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association, American Council on Exercise, International Association of Reiki, Tai Chi for Health Community of America, and the Tai Chi for Health Institute.
In addition, Mr. Dehner is a two-time past recipient of a merit award from the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association for “Excellence in Continuing Education.”

Dr. Stack has been practicing occupational therapy for 35+ years in areas of acute care, SNF, LTAC, home health, schools, outpatient adults and pediatrics, and community re-entry with her most recent focus in serving families living with dyslexia. Dr. Stack received her Associates of Arts in Occupational Therapy Assistant at Loma Linda University, Bachelor of Science at California State University, San Bernardino, Master’s in Occupational Therapy at Samuel Merritt College, and her Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Loma Linda University. Dr. Stack is the founder and owner of DyslexiaRx, founder of Dyslexia Center of Tulsa and the Educate to Advocate Podcast. She has dedicated her research to the topics of Dyslexia and its impact on Occupation: The Lived Experience as well as Occupational Engagement and Scleroderma. Her teaching emphasis encompasses capstone and research. Dr. Penny Stack serves as the Coordinator of Doctoral Capstone and Research, Assistant Professor at Wilson College.

Varleisha D. Lyons (formerly Gibbs), PhD, OTD, OTR/L, ASDCS, is an occupational therapist and author with over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing disorders and neurological disorders. She developed and founded Delaware’s first occupational therapy program and became the first black indigenous American woman to serve as the Scientific Programs Officer at the American Occupational Therapy Foundation.
Varleisha continues to lecture and provides training on sensory processing strategies and self-regulation to practitioners, parents, and teachers throughout the country and internationally. As co-author of Raising Kids with Sensory Processing Disorders, she has provided families with strategies to understand and care for their children. Dr. Lyons is the developer of the Self-Regulation and Mindfulness program and author of the best-selling book, Self-Regulation and Mindfulness: Exercises and Worksheets for Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (PESI Publishing & Media). She is the co-author of Trauma Treatment in ACTION: Over 85 Activities to Move Clients Toward Healing, Growth and Improved Functioning (PESI Publishing & Media). Her areas of expertise include neuroanatomy, self-regulation strategies across the lifespan, health inequities, and trauma responsive approaches.

Karen Pryor, PhD, PT, DPT, CH, CFPS, has a doctorate in physical therapy and has practiced for 40 years in the field. Dr. Pryor is the owner of Health Sphere Wellness Center, an integrative therapy clinic in Nashville, Tennessee. Involved with early intervention in the birth-three population for over 30 years, she has developed neuroplasticity techniques that are used in a wide variety of settings, including homes, childcare centers, and school systems, to advanced pediatric therapy programs.
Dr. Pryor serves on several boards, including the Leadership Interagency Council for Early Intervention (2014-2019), a position to which she was appointed by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. In 2010, she received the President's Volunteer Service Award for her contributions to the advanced treatment of children from President Barack Obama. In addition to her work with children, Dr. Pryor has served as an adjunct professor at the Tennessee State University Occupational Therapy Assistant program. She is a clinical instructor for several universities and colleges. With her years of experience and passion for complete wellness, Dr. Pryor advances a more expansive view of how to integrate therapy throughout the lifespan by using neuroplasticity techniques.
