Sylvia Meléndez Klinger, DBA, MS, RDN, LDN, CPT, is an award-winning author and global nutrition entrepreneur. She is founder of Hispanic Food Communications, a nutrition communications and culinary consulting company. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Mexico City, Sylvia is bi-lingual in English and Spanish and has over 35 years of professional experience in the areas of weight management, plant-based nutrition, maternal and lactation nutrition, cultural diversity, and optimal wellness and disease prevention. Sylvia is a leading expert in cross-cultural Hispanic nutrition and health issues.
Sylvia has an impressive knowledge of Hispanic foods and culture, enhanced by frequent immersion in Hispanic communities. She uses her in-depth culinary and cultural expertise to introduce new strategies for wellness to an increasingly health-conscious population. Sylvia’s experiences lead her to harness the power of nutrition while helping people fall in love with the process of creating and enjoying delicious and nutritious foods.
